Our goal

Our goal is to import and present the best small production wines from Portugal, Italy, and Spain. We do not work with every region in these countries. But Rather we bring what we believe to be the most exciting representations from the most passionate and unique winemakers – winemakers who believe in specific planting methods that are referred to as clonal selections. Our selections are always from the very small wine producers. I would also like to mention that we do not deal in volume. In some cases, our wines will be made naturally but none of our wines will ever have chemical enhancers. Additionally, we specialize in artisan wines and organic wines, as well as wines that are off the well-beaten path. From the far reaches and from the remote tucked away places are where we most often find the most amazing boutiques.

Our Philosophy

The goal of Petito Wine Selections is to locate and assemble the finest portfolio of wines and spirits at all price points throughout both Europe and the Americas. Our wines that are selected for our portfolio must represent the highest quality from the boutique, small production winemaker up to the wines on tap “ keg wines “ that will always express balance, finesse, and a pronounced identity. There is nothing we enjoy more than introducing our selections to the wine staff and chefs who share the same passion both in their wine lists as well as their menus. We also service retailers whose customers are wine lovers and are always looking for those special, well-made wines that only come from our proprietary selections.

Our wines will always be what can be best described as very balanced:

With very little oak and the appropriate amount of acid for structure. These wines will always be of value for their qualities. And they will most definitely never be scored (rated). Our wines and their styles are what we hope more of the American market will gravitate towards.

The Wines

We spend a considerable amount of time actively searching for the smaller winemakers and their vineyards to find the wines we ultimately represent. These smaller vineyards that are most often off the beaten paths are filled with second and third generation winemakers. Our days are filled with tastings, winemaking styles, and blendings. Having the opportunities to visit the most prestigious appellations throughout Europe leaves us with the goal to build relationships with farmers and winemakers who are producing wines that reflect their passion for quality. They are perfectionists who, through their labor, lovingly and consistently produce a limited number of bottles from their soil every year.

We are about the farmers and Winemakers the stories they tell.

With very little oak and the appropriate amount of acid for structure. These wines will always be of value for their qualities. And they will most definitely never be scored (rated). Our wines and their styles are what we hope more of the American market will gravitate towards.
